Memories like wisps of smoke
Drifting in and out of mind
Some are bright and clear as day
others faded, hard to find
Memories of childhood days
Of innocents and wonder
If dreams that we held in our
hearts
and stories that we spun with thunder
Memories of love
That life did so hold
crumble like petals
as a heart becomes cold.
